This month’s Real Wedding is amazing! Seriously, I have nothing else to say! Let the pictures do the talking!
Where was your wedding and why did you choose that venue?
Kickapoo Creek Winery. I have wanted to have my wedding at this venue for years – the setting is absolutely beautiful and the catering is really good.
We had fans to try to beat the heat! The mini pencils are for a word search on the back of the ceremony programs with all the wedding party names.
Where did you find your dress and the bridesmaid’s dresses?
Bride’s dress: Adore Bridal & Sepcialty
Bridesmaid’s dresses: David’s Bridal
Veil and Belt: Julia Belle’s Veils
I lost my Grandma to breast cancer about 7 years ago. While she could not be with us on our wedding day, I wore her gold stud earrings that she used to wear every day. I also wore a bracelet from my mom as my “something borrowed.”
We did a wine box ceremony during the ceremony in place of a unity. My husband and I both wrote letters to one another, sealed them, and placed them in the box during the ceremony along with a bottle of wine. If we ever find our marriage facing insurmountable hardships, we are to open the box, drink the wine together, & read the letters to reflect on why we chose to be together. The hope, of course, is that we do not ever have a reason to open the box. If not, we will open it together on our 5th anniversary, drink the wine, read the letters, write new letters & re-seal everything. This will be continued every 5 years. We have the wine box displayed in our home.
Who was your florist, and what pieces did you have done?
This arrangement hung on the arbor, and then was placed on our head table.
These arrangements were hung on the aisle at the ceremony, then were moved indoors and used as centerpieces for some tables.
We had family and friends come from all over the country for our wedding. It was so meaningful to the both of us that we have all our most loved people there, and we used a canvas that had pictures reading “Established 8-29-15” for our guests to sign, which is now very proudly hung on a wall in our home.
My dad’s speech was so funny that people were nearly in tears.
Who made your cake?
We had 10 different “fun fact” napkins that we used in place of plain cocktail napkins.
We also made fun coozies that guests could grab for their drinks at the bar. We still use them!
We had a photo booth that captured many great pictures, and our gift to our guests was a magnetic frame they could place a copy of their picture in.
Last question, who did all of this stunning photography?
Congrats Joey and Corinne! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing wedding with us!
Veil: the Leanne Veil
